WHY Communicate is my dream

Hello and welcome! I am Heather Whyte.

After 30 years of executive experience building trust as the accelerator behind highly-successful associations and corporate brands, I took an intentional pivot to follow my passion. I created WHY Communicate to help associations adapt, grow and create economic, social and environmental benefit.

Building the type of customer, member, and employee trust that drives lasting growth and sustainability takes leadership from the top. It takes time, commitment and multiple, targeted, integrated communications and marketing efforts. And it takes dedication to a clear purpose and an adaptive business plan.

I’ve learned these truths during my career. Each career step has been filled with learning about what its takes to make organizations great.

I’ve embraced the power of inclusive leadership, collaboration and the strategic thinking needed to grow sustainable organizations. I’ve learned the importance of adaptation to new ideas and different perspectives and the ever-changing environment. By adhering to my values, ethics and advocating open communication, equality and diversity, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge, experience and trust from incredible leaders that I now want to share with others.

That is why WHY Communicate partners with associations that often can’t afford full-time specialized strategic marketers to elevate and future-proof their organizations. We work with leaders and teams to adapt and refresh their strategic plans and to build meaningful, long-term connections with members, customers and employees.
